carroll shelby:   SAAC29   Michigan International Speedway    July 2-4, 2003

At SAAC29 I was thrilled to be meeting Carroll when signing the glove box to my 1969 GT350, but then later in the day when many people were long gone.... me and some buddies were still hanging around the lot when Carroll himself was riding around in a golf cart and came up to me and asked if I wanted a picture with him, me, and my car. I was so excited I remember asking him "what?" And he asked again. Next to the birth of my daughter, this could have been the best day of my life.
